Leo on the web Water Park Zaragoza of
"With an approximate area of \u200b\u200b120 hectares, is a new urban park concept that combines extensive areas, services and activities for all citizens."

I think it's great we have new and bigger parks, but local politicians sell me what the "new urban park concept "... the truth, I get a few laughs.

Mendoza is a city in Argentina with about 112.00 inhabitants (about 850,000 if you include the entire area underground, the "Gran Mendoza). Since 1896, Mendoza has the Parque San Martín. The photos of a century ago, the start of the park, remember the current status of the Water Park, with its "new concept of urban park."

San Martín Park covers 307 hectares, 17 kilometers of paths and 82 acres for expansion. That is, is three times larger than the Water Park area.

If the rains are "scarce" in Mendoza are "2 * low / 3." The average annual rainfall in Mendoza is 223 mm, compared with 318 mm of Zaragoza (source: Wikipedia). So if someone can give us lessons on how to get from Zaragoza water, those are the Mendoza.

The splendor of the San Martin Park relies heavily on Lake Park, a major work that had its origins in 1906 and since then gives racing fans a place to enjoy.

Forest Heritage Park San Martín is over 300 native species America, Asia, Europe and Australia, and also includes a zoo and a Museum of Natural History and Anthropology, founded in 1911, with over 80,000 pieces.

The original draft of the San Martin Park is due to the architect, naturalist and ; French landscaper Carlos Thays, who designed a path in which we combine traditional English and French gardening own nineteenth century. However, more than one hundred years of history, the park has not stopped evolving (this may be some of the recent and current projects ).

Some images to illustrate the current reality of this other "old concept of urban park" with over one hundred years of history.
