The Millennium Plaza, is a unique initiative to turn the parking lot Multiple Use Area in an innovative public space within the criteria of sustainable urban development, which will house an underground parking and a pavilion for various functions in addition to the square and other items.
The project, implemented by the company Sacyr-Vallehermoso, has a cost of 10,872,108 euros, plus VAT. Intended to reflect the progress of the XXI century Valladolid by this emblematic building, which involved architects, engineers, landscapers and creative, among others. The area comprises
approximately 7,500 square feet, which houses a park and ride on the surface of 214 seats. The General Urban Plan considers this place as a team with consistent use for parking. Some of the most important ideas of the intervention are:
- Creating a new public open space, close to downtown (seven minutes walk from the Plaza Mayor), for recreation and leisure area of citizens.
- Greater integration Pisuerga River as it passes through this place, acting on the left and to the bridge of Isabel the Catholic environmentally sustainable infrastructure.
- new street lighting, low pollution light and high energy saving, programmable for different scenarios depending on the practice.
- Presence of both renewable energy solar wind origin.

the square during the construction phase The use of renewable energy is a priority within the project, to install six turbines quieter, and 140 square meters of photovoltaic glass plates on the bridge of Isabel the Catholic, reflecting the development of a clean job of a low carbon footprint.
