Dominican Cooperatives have come together based on a common agenda that includes obtaining an updated space legislation not considered as banks and guarantee their services to 40% of the Dominican population.

At a reunion held in the Cooperative San José, San José de las Matas, the presidents of major institutions of integration of the cooperative sector is given a unique agenda and plan of regional meetings to promote legal reform and ratify the character of social economy that emerges.

Cooperatives ded Dominicans have about 900 000 members and partners, providing services to 40% of the poor. At this meeting attended by the presidents of AIRAC CONACOOP, FECOOPCEN, FEDECOOP, CCC-CA and other organizations bringing together most of the nearly 600 cooperatives and cooperative groups operating in DR.
